The Givens Foundation's readings and talks have become a fixture on the Twin Cities' cultural landscape for bringing literary excellence to broad and diverse audiences. Our events provide rare opportunities to publicly define the state of the art of African American literature and to locate the work and contributions of national as well as Twin Cities African American writers within the present authoring of our literary tradition.
Visit www.givens.org/calendar for more information about upcoming programs.
This event is made possible through the support of Target, General Mills, and the voters of Minnesota, through a Minnesota State Arts Board Operating Support grant thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund.
